Throughout Scripture godly women have served others in times of need. Phoebe is specifically mentioned by the apostle Paul as a “servant (deaconess) of the church at Cenchreae” (Rom 16:1), and Dorcas is described as a woman of good works and charitable giving (Acts 9:36). The women of Lansdale Presbyterian seek to emulate such work by helping the poor, the sick, and the distressed.
Through our women’s ministry organization – Women in the Church, a variety of services are offered to those in need:
- Hospitality & Helping Hands Committee coordinates meals and visits for individuals and families
going through difficult times.
- HomeboundMinistry seeks to creatively express love and appreciation to those of our
congregation who can no longer leave their homes to attend worship and other church activities.
- Visits of Mercy is a way in which our women assist the deacons in ministering to the needy.

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
